Vocabulary   Review 7
1.       Chemical Change—a change in which new or different kinds of matter are formed.
2.       Chemical Reaction—when two or more materials are mixed together and a change occurs
3.      Conservation—a law that states that energy can never be destroyed or created
4.      Gas—state of matter without a definite shape or volume
5.      Heat—a form of energy produced by the motion of molecules
6.      Liquid—matter with no definite shape but with a definite volume
7.      Mass—the amount of matter in an object
8.      Matter—anything that has mass and takes up space
9.      Molecules—the smaller units of matter, made up of one or more atoms
10.   Physical change—a change in a substance’s appearance but not in what it is made of
11.   Solid—state of matter that has a definite shape and a definite volume
12.   Solute—the substance dissolved by the solvent
13.   Solution—different matter mixed together
14.   Solvent—a liquid capable of dissolving another substance
15.  Weight—the measure of the pull of gravity on an object
